Granite blocks range
Our quarry currently produces the following grades of granite blocks:
1st choice – Top grade blocks free from cracks, lines, joints, cigars and textural defects. Available in special order blocks & gangsaw sized blocks.
2nd choice – Medium grade with maximum of one crack, joint, line but no textural defects.
3rd choice – The blocks have prominent defects such as cracks.
Granite Finishing
Scarlivax Granite, deposits host a dark-gray to black, gabbro – depending on chemistry and mineralogy. Our material is commercially known as ‘Rustenburg Impala’.
It is World renowned as a dimension stone product for its textural beauty and uniformity, inherent strength, low porosity, high abrasive strength, low expansion coefficient, and low thermal conductivity. These properties make it ideal as a machine base in all areas of mechanical engineering.
